Privacy Policy.
Last updated: May 5, 2026
This policy explains what data we collect when you use Goal Pool, what we use it for, and how you can control it. It's designed to comply with Argentina's Law 25.326 (LPDP), Mexico's LFPDPPP, Brazil's LGPD, and equivalent principles of the EU's GDPR.
1. Who's responsible for your data
Goal Pool operates the platform at goalpool.pro and e.goalpool.pro. For data questions, write to contacto@quinielapro.com.
When you play in a specific pool (e.g. e.goalpool.pro/lupita), the venue that runs that pool is jointly responsible for processing your nickname, your forecasts, and — if you opted in to marketing — your phone number.
2. What data we collect
- Sponsors (pool owners): name, email address, password, payment data via PayPal (PayPal processes the payment; we never store your card).
- Players: the nickname you choose, your forecasts, and the date/time of submission.
- Players in phone-tier pools: your phone number, verified via SMS. If you explicitly opt in to marketing, your number is associated with that consent.
- Automatic technical data: IP address, browser type, and an anonymous Firebase identifier. We use these to prevent fraud and run the platform.
3. What we use it for
- Running the pool: recording forecasts, calculating scores, showing the leaderboard.
- Verifying you're a real person (SMS verification on phone tier; reCAPTCHA generally).
- Only if you opted in to marketing: the venue running your pool may send you promotions after the tournament ends.
- Anonymous statistical analysis to improve the platform.
4. Who else sees it
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud: storage, SMS authentication, database. Servers in the United States. Google is a certified data processor under international standards.
- PayPal: only for sponsor payment processing (never for players).
- The sponsor of your pool: sees your nickname and forecasts. If you played in a phone-tier pool and opted in, they also receive your phone number at tournament end.
5. How long we keep it
- Forecasts and leaderboards: during the tournament + 12 months for historical statistics.
- Verified phones without opt-in: deleted at tournament end.
- Verified phones with opt-in: passed to the sponsor; they're responsible for handling thereafter.
- Sponsor accounts: until you request deletion.
6. Your rights
Under LPDP (Argentina), GDPR (EU), and equivalent laws, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Rectify incorrect data.
- Delete your data.
- Object to your data being used for marketing at any time.
- Withdraw marketing consent — this removes your phone from any future list.
To exercise any of these rights, write to contacto@quinielapro.com. We respond within the 10 business days required by law.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use the browser's localStorage to remember your nickname and your marketing preference between sessions. We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies.
8. Minors
Goal Pool is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you discover that a minor submitted data, write to us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we modify this policy, we'll publish it here with the updated date at the top. Material changes will also be notified to registered sponsors by email.
10. Supervisory authority
If you believe your rights aren't being respected, you can file a complaint with the Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP) in Argentina, or the equivalent authority in your country.
